www.7actsoflove.org was commissioned by e-2.org in 2004. Sue Johns, the director at the time, wanted to create a launch that will reflect the nature of website. The Great Eastern Hotel has kindly sponsored the event by providing a whole floor, free drinks and staff. In each room a laptop was installed with only the live website on. The website includes an archive of all of Marcus Fisher’s works, and an interactive therapy session about separation. In line with the interaction ‘Say Cheese’, during the launch- event people interacted with the intimate therapy session within an exposing public context. The therapy interaction on the website takes place in various bedrooms, according to the choice of the visitor, hence the use of different hotel bedrooms was appropriate for the launch. The event, which was one of the first ones to launch the hotel as a relevant art and performance space, hosted around 500 people, mostly from the live art world.
