In the museum, a small space was made into a domestic room, with a carpet, table and chair, a computer, drawings and a ‘Welcome Home’ wall sign made of crepe streamers. Visitors to the exhibition could interact with Ashery through a live, two-way webcast. Over six weeks, Ashery conducted the interaction from her old teenage bedroom in her parents’ flat in Jerusalem. On many occasions, visitors to the museum space thought the live webcam was in fact a video. Only when Ashery described what they were wearing, for example, did they trust that it was a live conversation.
