Sixteen years later, Ashery asks her family to reply to the question ‘why do they think she left home at 19’. This intimate and raw film exposes inter generational differences towards the departure and towards Israel as home. The film also echoes universal issues surrounding family ties, immigration, anger, guilt, loss and the construction of one- self through the eyes of others.
